Kate MegargeeKate Megargee -- a producer for NJEA’s television show Classroom Close-up, NJ -- recently passed away (1954-2013). Kate worked on the show for 15 years and produced about 285 segments. Read more about Kate's life and career. 

The NJEA Hipp Foundation is accepting donations to establish a Hipp Grant to be named in Kate's honor for projects focusing on journalism, media production, and writing. Contributions can be named in her honor by sending a check made payable to the NJEA Hipp Foundation to:

Pathway to Excellence engraved brick campaign

You or your association can show your support for the Hipp Foundation by purchasing an engraved brick paver outside the main entrance to the NJEA Headquarters in Trenton.
