Provides that nonpublic school nursing services may include nursing services for a preschool pupil in the event of an emergency.

NJEA supports S-322 (Diegnan/Eustace).  This bill would clarify the current law that allows public school nurses to provide nursing services to K-12 students.

Under current law, a public school can enter into a joint agreement with a private school in order to provide nursing services to its K-12 students.  The specific services are outlined in the agreement.  Preschool was not included in the original law.

By extending the law to preschool students in emergency situations, school nurses will have a clear directive in addressing medical emergencies involving preschool students.

NJEA urges you to support S-322.
