NJEA: School funding scheme would turn back clock

Most vulnerable children would be harmed most

NJEA President Wendell Steinhauer released this statement regarding Gov. Christie’s proposal to abandon New Jersey’s school funding formula: “Governor Christie’s school funding proposal is a transparent attempt to deflect attention from the abject failure of his education policies. Having never once funded the state’s existing formula, he has no basis for assessing its effectiveness."

The NJEA Reporter was published from 1944 to 1949 and from 1963 to 2014, when it merged with the NJEA Review. It focused on Association events and priorities such as collective bargaining, legislative actions, Member Benefits, and NJEA conferences and workshops. The NJEA Reporter also highlighted the actions of NJEA’s local and county associations.
