NJ Teacher of the Year 2011 and the Cat in the Hat2011 New Jersey Teacher of the Year Danielle Kovach knows the importance of reading.  That’s why she was at the head of the class when the Tulsa Trail Elementary School in Hopatcong kicked off their Read Across America celebration in February. Danielle (pictured to the left of the Cat) and colleague Pat Pietrzak (shown right) coordinated a variety of activities for students to participate in while exploring the magic of reading. After all, adults know that it’s through reading that children discover a world of places to visit.  As Dr. Seuss likes to say, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”
