South Jersey Band AidThe South Jersey Band Aid is hosting a benefit to help rebuild classrooms and get children back to school up and down the Jersey shore. The benefit will be held Sunday, Dec. 16 from 4 -10 p.m. at the Renault Winery in Egg Harbor City. All proceeds are being donated to the NJEA Hurricane Sandy Back to School Fund.

In five Ocean County school districts, students and teachers are working with only basic materials. Not only do they not have the materials they need, these children have yet to return to their home schools, nor will they in the near future. They have been relocated to high schools, churches and any other sites where room has been made for them.

Tickets are $15 and are available for purchase at the front desk of the hotel, the front door of the event, or via email:

The Apache Match and The Pickles will be performing along with D.J. Carlos Melange.

Toys for Tots will be present. Elementary school books will also be collected to replenish the many that were lost during the storm.
