Published on Monday, January 28, 2013

The Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching (PAEMST), established in 1983 by the White House and administered by the National Science Foundation (NSF), are the most prestigious public awards for teachers of mathematics and science offered in our country.

This year, the program will identify outstanding grade 7-12 mathematics and science classroom teachers in the 50 states. National winners receive an all-expense paid trip to Washington D.C. and $10,000 to spend at their discretion.

Applicants may be nominated by any member of the public, including but not limited to, superintendents, principals, supervisors, colleagues, parents or students. The nomination form and application can be found online only at www.paemst.org. The deadline for completing nomination forms online is April 1, 2013, and the deadline for submissions of online applications is May 1, 2013.
