| ESP member Donna O'Malley and NJEA Executive Director Vince Giordano testify before the Senate Education Committee on S-2163, the Senate companion bill to A-3696. |
Once again, our ESP bills are on the move! Thursday, March 14, A-3696 will be heard by the Assembly Education Committee. This is the Assembly companion bill to S-2163, which statutorily provides due process rights to all educational support professionals.
The Senate version passed the Senate Education Committee by a vote of 3 to 1 last month and just recently passed out of the Senate Budget and Appropriations Committee—where it was second referenced—and now heads to the full Senate for a vote.
Now is the time to take action again! We need NJEA members to contact members of the Assembly Education Committee and urge them to support A-3696.
Every call or email does make a difference!
