Special Education Stakeholders CoalitionBREAKING: At a special meeting on Friday, June 21, the State Board of Education vacated their original plans to amend the special education regulations and voted instead to readopt the existing code.  The Department of Education had been considering regulation changes which would have had detrimental effects on special education students and educators statewide.  This vote is the result of thousands of educators, parents and special education advocates’ efforts to testify at meetings, participate in teleconferences and writing letters to share their concerns about the proposed regulations.
