Educators are invited to join a summer seminar in Europe to “Visit to the Infamous Sites of the Holocaust.” Sponsored by the New Jersey Commission on Holocaust Education, the seminar will run from Wednesday, July 24, to Tuesday, Aug. 6, 2013. Participants will travel to Germany, The Czech Republic, Poland, Amsterdam, and Prague.
Thanks to a generous grant from NJEA, the cost of the trip will be discounted by $2,500 for 20 Association members. The cost of the trip for non-NJEA members will be between $5,500 and $6,000; NJEA members will pay $3,000 to $3,500. These fees include all expenses and meals.
Longtime N.J. State Board of Education member Maud Dahme, a hidden child during the Holocaust, will guide the group on the entire trip and specifically take the participants through her experience as a survivor.
