Winceyco Productions will set the tone on the opening night of the 2013 Minority Leadership and Recruitment Conference with a keynote performance on Friday, April 26. The theme of this year’s conference is “A View from the Top: Setting a New Mark for Educational Leadership.” The conference continues with seminars on Saturday, April 27.
Wincey, who leads Winceyco Productions, is a professional female vocalist from Jersey City who has been educating people of all ages in schools and churches throughout New Jersey since 1988.
Winceyco Productions staff work with consultants, teachers, engineers, school psychologists, medical professionals, ministers, and community leaders to combine a perfect balance of music and drama with key facts of African-American history, science, drug awareness, and music.
Electives and seminars explore conference theme
In addition to the keynote performance, members will choose two of nine programs to attend.
On Friday members choose one elective:
- Stress Management (Yoga)
- Electronic Communications and Social Networking
- Mind the Gap: Racial and Health Disparities
- A Delegation That Looks Like New Jersey
- FAST Program (Family Involvement)
On Saturday, members choose one seminar:
- NEA Minority Leadership Training (Part II)
- Crucial Conversations about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, and Questioning (LGBTQ) History – Professional develop credit available.
- Gang Prevention and Intervention
- Universal Design for Learning (UDL) – Professional develop credit available.

Registration
Registration will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Preregistration is required by April 12. The registration fee of $245 single/$185 double occupancy includes overnight accommodations, meals, self-parking, and materials. The commuter registration fee of $130 includes meals, self-parking, and materials. Use of hotel facilities including restaurants, valet parking, etc. is not included in the registration fee. Special meal requests due to dietary and/or religious reasons should accompany your registration form.
