This year’s rally and march will focus on:
  • Fighting to improve health and safety conditions on our jobs.
  • Testimonials from injured workers and families that have lost loved ones in workplace accidents.

Every year thousands of workers are killed and millions more injured or diseased because of their jobs. Respect for workers’ health and safety rights must be a guaranteed to all workers, whether in a classroom, on a highway, or in a cubicle.

New Labor is an organization of low-wage workers that educates, organizes, and fights for better working conditions.  With over 2,000 members, it has centers in New Brunswick, Lakewood, and Newark. More information about the organization can be found at www.newlabor.org.

The New Jersey Work Environment Council, a frequent NJEA partner, is an alliance of labor, community, and environmental organizations working for safe, secure jobs and a healthy, sustainable environment. Visit www.njwec.org for more information.
