NJEA Convention
Make your way to the 2007
NJEA Convention
Looking for new ideas? Want a chance to network with NJEA members from all over the state? Searching for new classroom materials or information about school programs? Then the 2007 NJEA Convention is the place for you!
The annual NJEA Convention provides one-stop shopping for the latest professional and career development. This year’s Convention is scheduled for Nov. 8 – 9 at the Atlantic City Convention Center.
The Convention theme – NJEA and Public Schools Paving the Way – celebrates NJEA’s commitment to great public schools for every child.
Plan ahead
Members should expect their official NJEA Reporter Convention programs in the fall. Remember to plan ahead and check room capacity information very carefully. Members are admitted into workshops on a first-come, first-served basis. Fire codes prohibit the rooms from exceeding the posted capacity.
Members are also encouraged to car pool or take public transportation to the Convention Center. NJ TRANSIT will once again run the NJEA Express train into Atlantic City. Local and county associations may want to consider chartering buses, as well.
Wear comfortable shoes
In addition to nearly 300 workshops, NJEA members won’t want to miss the excitement on the floor of the Convention Center. Wear comfortable shoes so you can explore miles of booths and exhibits. Shop for classroom supplies. Learn about innovative class trips. Meet with representatives from area colleges and universities about advancing your education. See the amazing talents of New Jersey public school students in the Teen Arts Gallery. Check back on a regular basis for details as they become available.
