Student video contest:
Protect Me With 3
The Partnership for Maternal and Child Health of Northern New Jersey (Partnership), in collaboration with the New Jersey Department of Health is holding their second annual Protect Me With 3 video contest.
The contest promotes creativity and awareness of the tetanus, diphtheria, and acellular pertussis (Tdap); meningococcal conjugate; and human papillomavirus (HPV) immunizations among New Jersey pre-teens (11 to 14 years of age) and teens (15 to 18 years of age).
Participants can create their own 30 second video, directed at their peers about the causes, symptoms, treatments and prevention of any of these diseases motivating them to seek vaccination.
Educators can encourage participation in Protect Me With 3 contest as part of class projects. This year a $100 prize will be given to the class in each age category with the most eligible video submissions. The Grand Prize winner in the 11-14 age category will receive a brand new Kindle Fire HD 8.9, plus a $50 gift card from the Amazon Appstore, while the winner in the 15-18 age category will receive a brand new iPad Mini and a $50 gift card from the iTunes store. A first-runner up in each age category will receive a $250 gift card.
