140. Ask your newer, younger members to help you engage members!
We got this idea from our friends in the Arizona Education Association. It's one of those simple ideas that leave you asking yourself, why didn't we think of that?
Locals in the Arizona EA have had a lot of success by allowing millennium educators to play a more active role in recruitment and engagement. It got me thinking that local leaders here could call upon their millennium members for assistance.
Consider holding conversations with the millennium members that attend your workshops and events -- the ones who have shown some initiative. You could talk to those who you think would make great future association leaders, too. It might be fun to hold a meeting with them and ask them to help you promote the association and engage members. I'm sure they'll have some great ideas on how you can do that.
