Sample agenda for a first PRIDE team meeting

• Welcome and introductions.

• What activities are your members already doing that can be improved through PRIDE? Consider back to school nights, parent conferences, etc.

• What events and activities are community groups already doing that your local could have a presence at through PRIDE? How can your members help support these community groups? Consider not for profit organizations, historical houses, community recreation offices, senior groups, businesses, civic groups, etc. You could assign a liaison to each group in order to have more of an impact.

• How can you reach out to members to see if they are already involved in any community groups?

• What is the PTA doing that you can support via PRIDE?

• How will you promote involvement in PRIDE (from the community, your members, etc.)? How can you effectively introduce your PRIDE program? Do you have at least one representative from each building who could be a “PRIDE team captain”?

• Are there members who can write press releases for your activities that you can send to the local media?

• Are there any members who could help establish social media outlets to promote your PRIDE program?

• How will you complete your PRIDE proposals?
