THE SANDY GROUND

Inspired by senseless violence in Newtown, Connecticut and in an effort to restore the storm ravaged east coast after Hurricane Sandy, we endeavor to create 26 living memorials to all children who have been victims of violence while creating safe, fun places for children to be children. May these playgrounds provide a symbol of hope, recovery and a return to normalcy. A gift to our youth in an effort to enhance and sustain their precious childhood.

UNITED METHODIST HOMES FOUNDATION OF NEW JERSEY:

The United Methodist Homes Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3), acts as the fundraising and public relations arm of the United Methodist Homes. Governed by a board of trustees, it also lends the corporation seed money for new projects and capital improvements at the Homes' communities.

With a staff of six, it conducts direct mail campaigns, capital campaigns, donor identification and cultivation, special events, and gift planning. This raises support for the Fellowship Fund, which sustains residents who have exhausted or limited financial resources.

The Foundation fosters specialized programs for churches and community groups, and relationships between United Methodist and other denominations that uphold services to senior men and women. In the public relations arena, it communicates current developments through its websites, publications and through media outlets.

THE HUGS FOR BRADY FOUNDATION

We started the Hugs for Brady Foundation shortly after our 13 month old son, Brady Michael was diagnosed with Non-Differentiated Acute Leukemia, a very rare form of leukemia. Our goal is simple, to help in any and every way possible to ease the pain of the children and their families who have cancer. We pledge that every dollar donated will be spent in the pursuit to help find a cure for pediatric cancer.
