We are looking to collect stories from locals who hold successful PAC sign-up campaigns. We' are saving this thread for the stories, so feel free to post your efforts.

I recently met an ESP member who is approaching 100% of her members participating in PAC. What she’s doing is – instead of asking for the $3.00 per month donation as recommended, she crosses it out and writes in $1.00. She says that her members do miss even a few cents from each paycheck, but they are stepping up and contributing because they know the importance of electing pro-education candidates.

The first step in encouraging your members to contribute to PAC is knowing who currently does. You can get a list of those members from your UniServ office.

It would be interesting to ask each of these members why they find value in contributing. Your local could share their responses (with the members' permission, of course) at a meeting, on a flier, etc.

Recently a large local wanted to drum up support among its members for one of its endorsed PAC candidates. So, the local held a "selfie" contest, with members taking their pictures while holding up a sign pledging their support to the endorsed candidate. At the end of the day, local leaders selected the member with the best post.

This would work with your local's Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter outlets. What a cool idea!
