Do you have the skills to be on the other end of the call? AID-NJEA is seeking two educator support specialists.
Bachelor's degree in education, counseling or related field. Two years of teaching or school/educational experience. Additional related experience can be substituted for the bachelor's degree. Some counseling experience or training preferred. Candidate will successfully complete the University Behavioral Health Care internal training program.
The primary purpose of the educator support specialist is to provide confidential telephonic support and counseling in support of the AID-NJEA/RING-NEA mission. Receives telephonic requests for these services, is consumer-friendly, demonstrates counseling skills, and is knowledgeable in education issues. Enters relevant data into the unit's information system.
Note: this is not a position of employment with NJEA. AID-NJEA and RING-NEA are part of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences. This is a per diem position.
