What if I forget my badge?
You can go to the Hall D Admissions//Replacement Badge Area and show your I.D. to receive a new badge. Kiosks are also provided in the registration area for your convenience . You will need your NJEA membership card to use the kiosk.
Are there workshops during the keynote sessions?
Workshops will not occur during the keynote (plenary) sessions.
- Thursday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
- Friday 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
The keynote (plenary) sessions will be held in Hall A.
Please note that the Exhibit floor WILL BE OPEN during the kenote (plenary) sessions.
What time does the Exhibit Hall open and close?
The Exhibit Hall is open from 9 a.m. through 5 p.m. on Thursday, and from 8:30 a.m. through 3 p.m. on Friday.
The classrooms are open from 9:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. on Thursday and Friday.
What are my Transportation Options?

County Hospitality Events

Can I take a Shuttle to the Convention Center?
Only hotels with NJEA room blocks will offer shuttle service. Please see your Convention Program for more information. You will receive your Convention Program in late September.
Can I Receive a Certificate of Attendance?
New Jersey law (18A: 31-2) provides certain school employees the opportunity to be absent from school for the purpose of attending the Convention.
Certificates of attendance are distributed on Main Street NJEA (formerly The Boulevard) on Thursday and Friday only.
What are the Fees for NJEA Members?
Admission is free for NJEA members and their immediate families. Spouses, civil union or domestic partners, and children must be registered by the member they accompany and are only permitted on the exhibit floor. No guests are permitted in the classroom areas.
What are the Admission Fees for all other Attendees?
General admission fees for all other convention attendees are:
- $75 per day Nonmembers
- $50 per day Affiliated group members who are not NJEA members
- $40 per day Student affiliated group members who are not NJEA members
NJEA accepts cash, checks, or credit cards (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express)
Can I bring a guest?
Yes, but guests are permitted on the exhibit floor only, and children under age 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Please remember that guests (including children) are NOT permitted on the second, third, and fourth floors classrooms at any time.
Guests and children are permitted in Hall during the keynote sessions.
Guests who want to attend workshops must register as a non-member and pay $75 per day ($50 per day if a member of a professional group affiliated with NJEA; $40 per day if they are student members of a professional group affiliated with NJEA).
On-site registration hours are:
Thursday—8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Friday—7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

Do I need to pre-register for workshops at the NJEA Convention?
No. You do not need to pre-register. However, if you are not an NJEA member, you need to report to the Hall D Admission/Replacement Badge Area to pay your admittance fee and receive your badge.
NJEA Convention programs are filled on a first come-first served basis. When selecting a workshop for Convention, please keep in mind that the Atlantic City Fire Marshall sets room capacity based on room size and set-up. Consequently, if your workshop is scheduled in a small room, you may want to arrive early to insure admittance.

Is the Convention Center accessible to physically challenged persons?
The Atlantic City Convention Center is accessible by the physically challenged.
We suggest that guests with limited mobility bring a wheelchair for their comfort and safety. For your convenience, wheelchairs may be rented with a credit card by contacting the UPS Business Center at 609-449-2480 by October 15. (Fax 609-449-2478). Reservations are required.
A limited number of handicapped parking spots are available for a fee in the Convention Center garage.
Convention Center attendees requiring special assistance should contact NJEA at 609-599-4561 (x2257).
Is there evening entertainment at the Convention?
The NJ All-State Jazz Ensemble and NJ Honors Jazz Choir will perform at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday in the Trump Theatre at Trump Plaza.
The NJ All-State Chorus and Orchestra takes the stage in the Adrian Phillips Ballroom at Boardwalk Hall at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
What is the Boardwalk Run...and how can I participate?
The Annual NJEA Boardwalk Run is a 5,000 meter race that is TAC sanctioned. The course is the traffic-free scenic Atlantic City Boardwalk in front of Convention Hall.
The Boardwalk Run happens on Friday November 8 at 9 a.m.. (Rain or Shine)
