Avoid the traffic hassle by taking a NJTRANSIT train. The Atlantic City Rail Line runs from Philadelphia’s 30th Street Station to the Atlantic City Rail Terminal, adjacent to the Convention Center.
The cost is just $10 each way from Philadelphia and less in-between from Cherry Hill, Lindenwold, Atco, Hammonton, Egg Harbor City, and Absecon. Purchase your ticket at Ticket Vending Machines (TVM) to avoid a $5 surcharge on the train.
Discounted tickets are available for senior citizens age 62 and older and customers with disabilities. Restrictions apply. For more information, visit njtransit.com.
Easy Connection from River LINE
There are also three easy steps to connect from River LINE to the Atlantic City Convention Center. Ride the River LINE to NJ TRANSIT’s Walter Rand Transportation Center. Take PATCO to Lindenwold. Connect to the NJ TRANSIT Atlantic City Rail Line.
Commuting Options, Additional Bus Service
NJ TRANSIT has express bus service on Bus Route No. 551 between Camden and the Atlantic City Bus Terminal just two blocks from the Convention Center. For added convenience, passengers with an Atlantic City/Philadelphia rail ticket or pass may also use that ticket on the 551 bus route between Atlantic City and Philadelphia’s Greyhound Terminal located at 10th and Filbert Streets. Bus tickets valid between Philadelphia and Atlantic City are honored on the Atlantic City Rail Line for interstate and intrastate travel.
Travel Flexibility
You can use your NJ TRANSIT monthly rail pass on light rail and bus. Rail passes are imprinted with a zone number. You can use your rail pass for any light rail trip, or for bus trips up to the number of zones imprinted, during the period it is valid.

By Car
Using Rt. 30
Take Rt. 30 (White Horse Pike) East to AC. Once in Atlantic City, bear left onto tunnel connector ramp, following directions for Brigantine and Marina casino hotels.
Using Garden State Pkwy/AC Expressway
Take Garden State Parkway or Rt. 42 (North-South Freeway) to the Atlantic City Expressway East. Expect peak-period delays. Take expressway to its end. The Convention Center is on your left. For free parking, take Exit 2 off the expressway to Rt. 322/40 South to Atlantic City High School on the right. Free shuttles run between the Convention Center and this lot.
Using Rt. 322/40 (Black Horse Pike)
Take Rt. 295 south to Rt. 168 south to Route 42 south. Follow signs for Route 322 south. Stay on Rt. 322/40 south into Atlantic City. Get off at either Atlantic City High School on the right for free parking. Free shuttles run between the Convention Center and this lot.
Charter a Bus
Bus transportation is economical, especially when you consider that some casinos charge up to $25 to park on convention days. Consider sponsoring a local or county association bus to Atlantic City. Help members enjoy the convention without the hassle of driving and searching for parking. They can sit back, relax, and share the experience and session highlights with colleagues.
Bus permits must be purchased in advance from the South Jersey Transportation Authority, PO Box 351, Hammonton, NJ 08037-0351. Permits are $2 per bus per day, plus $3 processing fee for up to 50 permits. You must have a permit for each day your bus is in AC.
Accessibility
The Atlantic City Convention Center is accessible by the physically challenged. We suggest that guests with limited mobility bring a wheelchair for their comfort and safety.
For your convenience, wheelchairs may be rented with a credit card by contacting the UPS Business Center at 609-449-2480 or fax 609-449-2478 by Fri., Oct. 29. The cost of renting a wheelchair is $35 per day. Electric (3-wheel) scooter rental is $75 per day. Reservations are required. Wheelchairs and scooters may be picked up on the ground floor, next to the parking garage entrance at the UPS store.
The drop-off location for guests with limited mobility is the rear entrance to the Convention Center in the parking garage. Enter the parking garage from Bacharach Boulevard and follow the signs for “Handicapped drop-off location.”
Take a Shuttle* to the Convention Center
NJEA has expanded the free shuttle service between the Convention Center and various areas throughout Atlantic City. Shuttles leave every 15 minutes between 7 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on Thursday and 7 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. on Friday. There will also be a shuttle service on Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. every 30 minutes to all routes except the Purple route.
When going to the Convention Center, catch a shuttle at any of the hotels listed at left. Be sure to note the “color” of the bus you boarded. Take the same color when returning to your hotel (or parking lot).

- Route 3 Red Tropicana/Chelsea
- Route 4 Orange Borgata, Harrah’s
- Route 5 Purple Atlantic City High School
Details about color-coded shuttle routes will also be posted in the Convention Center. Buses leave from designated loading areas either in front of the Center or at the side entrance.

Jitneys
Jitneys operate on Pacific Avenue for $2.25 per person, one way. They provide efficient transportation to all casino hotels, including the marina area.
