NJAGC 2013 Conference “Gifted in the Real World”

The New Jersey Association for Gifted Children's (NJAGC) 22nd annual conference, “Gifted in the Real World," will be held Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9, at the Hotel Somerset-Bridgewater.

Despite having an innate love of learning, gifted students (and sometimes their parents and teachers) still want to know, “Why do I need to know this information? When will I ever use this skill? How can I pursue and share my unique interests and talents while still earning a living?” This year’s NJAGC conference is designed to help you answer these questions. Many presenters will provide an overview of skills necessary in all careers, share activities and materials with real-world applications, and relay their personal stories in the field of gifted education.

The purpose of this conference is to provide opportunities for classroom teachers, principals, curriculum supervisors, and guidance counselors to gain insight into the educational and social-emotional needs of gifted students and to support all those responsible for educating the gifted child.
