SGP scores will not be calculated for eighth-grade math teachers in 2014-15

All eighth-grade math teachers in New Jersey will not receive a student growth percentile score for the 2014-15 school year. Since these educators will not have an SGP, they must set two student growth objectives (SGOs) as part of the AchieveNJ evaluation process. The N.J. NJDOE to sponsor ScIP workshops

The New Jersey Department of Education (NJDOE) will conduct a series of School Improvement Panel (ScIP) workshops in October and November. All local ScIP members and interested district personnel are invited to attend these sessions, which will include information-sharing as well as questions from the NJDOE to attendees to better understand useful supports for ScIP activities. If your student growth objective (SGO) score was the sole cause for an Ineffective or Partially Effective summative rating for the 2013-14 academic year, you are eligible to ask for an expedited review of that rating. A similar review process is also available for principals. Learn more
