LGBTQ+ Open Space Mini Conference
October 19 @ 8:00 am - 1:00 pm
Open Space is an approach for finding the collective knowledge of a group, developing shared meaning and language with respect to issues surrounding LGBTQ+ students and curricula in our schools, building strong communities of practice that support the needs of LGBTQ+ students and staff, and rapidly propagating best thinking.
Because it is the participants who drive the agenda, this method allows for personalized and differentiated learning experiences when used with students and adults alike. A learning experience that leverages open space is one that is learner centered, authentic, and empowering for all involved.
Attendees will leave with an increased knowledge and enthusiasm to support the diverse members of their school communities.
