NJEA Jack Bertolino Summer Leadership Conference (SLC)

The NJEA Jack Bertolino Summer Leadership Conference (SLC) is dedicated to developing union advocates. This year, the SLC will be virtual and there will be no cost for this conference. If you are an NJEA member, you are eligible and encouraged to attend this summer leadership conference offering 25 advocacy workshops and 25 mini-courses. You will find topics that will prepare you for your current or future roles, sharpen your leadership skills, and show you how your local can develop to its full capacity. Please share this information with anyone in your association who may be interested.
The conference will be in two waves: Saturday, August 7–Sunday, August 8 and Monday, August 9–Tuesday, August 10. During each wave, you will be able to register for one four-hour workshop and/or up to three one-hour mini-courses per wave. Some workshops and mini-courses are more participatory and therefore have a limited capacity. You will be automatically be registered for the opening session with your conference registration. Please refer to the schedule below.
Registration will begin on June 15 and end on July 28—no registrations will be accepted after this deadline. You will need your NJEA PIN, which can be found on the front of your membership card.
