GenRenew Energy Services has made a generous $5,000 donation to the NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation for Excellence in Education. GenRenew is NJEA’s newest Member Benefits partner thanks to the Association’s special relationship with Buyer’s Edge, Inc. GenRenew helps members lower their electric bills by installing solar panels on their homes as well as other solar electric devices, such as backup power systems, at a special price for NJEA members. For every installation of solar panels it makes on a member’s home, GenRenew donates $500 to the Hipp Foundation. GenRenew marked this first installment, representing the installation of panels on 10 members’ homes, by personally delivering the inaugural donation to the Hipp Foundation in Trenton.
The Hipp Foundation provides grants to members to bring their creative ideas to life in public schools. The only foundation of its kind in New Jersey, the Hipp Foundation supports initiatives to promote excellence in education. More than $2 million in grants for innovative educational projects that represent a bold, fresh approach by public school employees has already been awarded.
