On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2019, we will unite in Trenton, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., to rally in solidarity with those at the Women’s March on Washington in Washington, D.C. Join women and their supporters as we stand together with marches nationwide and globally.
The slogan of the #2019WomensMarchonNJ is SOLIDARITY. POWER. PROGRESS. We believe that the only way forward for our NJ sisterhood is together. Our strength lies in combining our dynamic and diverse abilities, journeys, and wisdom. We also believe in truth. And the truth is that true progress is only gained when there is progress for all, not one or some. The voice of every woman is valid and vital and no one deserves to go unrecognized or be silenced. It’s time we go beyond our comfort zones, open ourselves up to one another, and link arms as we move ahead to demand that ALL of our families and communities are safe and have the rights and dignity that we ALL deserve. On Saturday, Jan. 19, please join us in Trenton as we work towards creating genuine solidarity with in our communities, the key to our progression as women. It’ll be a day where we celebrate the different and find healing in the discovery of our similarities.
In addition to the Trenton March, the Atlantic City Women’s March for Equality, Justice and Freedom featuring Lieutenant Governor Sheila Oliver will also take place on Jan. 19. If that location works better for you, we encourage you to support that event. Atlantic City marchers will gather at New Jersey & Pacific Ave at 10 a.m. and will rally at Kennedy Plaza (Mississippi Ave. & Boardwalk) in Atlantic City.
