Marissa will be serving as NJEA Preservice Vice President for the 2020 – 2021 year. Additionally, Marissa has served on the state level as an Ambassador. Marissa has attended numerous events, including the NJEA Convention and virtual lectures and workshops. At Stockton, her goal was to promote community service within her chapter. The Stockton chapter held an Adopt a Family for the Christmas season, donating over eighty wrapped presents for four children in need. She will continue to hold the position of chapter president during the 2020 – 2021 school year, where she will focus on recruitment and community service.

Marissa is excited to take on the role of Vice President and is looking forward to promoting member engagement and diversity within state and local chapters. Marissa plans to visit local chapters to discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each chapter and how to better promote membership. Marissa looks forward to talking to NJEA Preservice members all across New Jersey during her term as Vice President.
