On Friday, Mar. 10, early career NJEA members engaged with their peers in networking activities across the state.

The early career member network’s Team North group hosted a city crawl in Morristown that drew more than 50 members, despite the weather.  At the city crawl event, which was planned, marketed, and facilitated by early career members, participants visited three restaurants in Morristown.  Different networking activities were structured at each.  Members also enjoyed a brief presentation on the importance of understanding their Weingarten Rights and met with the UniServ field representatives from NJEA’s Parsippany office.  NJEA Member Benefits partner California Casualty provided a door prize to participants.

Also on Friday, Mar. 10, the Team South group hosted a bowling event for nearly 50 members at Pinsetters in Merchantville.  Members participated in an innovative “bowling bingo” activity that was designed by members to help facilitate networking.

At each event, petitions were signed by members in support of Phil Murphy’s candidacy for governor.  Learn more about Phil Murphy, NJEA’s endorsed candidate for the Democratic nomination for governor.
