Making school a healthy and fun place to be

Gary O’Shea is the custodial/Maintenance Worker at Lower Township Elementary School in Cape May County. His students are in preschool through second grade and every one of them wants to help. Gary uses these opportunities to mentor his students and help them learn.

 

Encouraging students to succeed


Scott Elliott is a special education job coach and bus aide at Phillipsburg High School in Warren County. Scott’s positive attitude and encouragement helps his students develop the life skills they need to be successful in their careers and life.

 

Helping students with special needs achieve

Lisa Tonnisen is a paraprofessional at Old Bridge High School in Middlesex County. She is also co-advisor coach for Play Unified –  and after-school club that integrates regular education and special education students for social activities and sports. She also co-teaches a Unified Generation class – one of the only ones in the state.
