The Jim George Collective Bargaining Award is presented yearly to the local association who has demonstrated excellence during the negotiations process. The award will be presented at the annual Jim George Collective Bargaining Summit to be held on Oct. 30, 2021 while honoring all nominees. This event will be held virtually due to the pandemic.
A local qualifies for nomination by meeting one or more of the following criteria:
Local associations can be nominated by any NJEA member or NJEA staff member.
To nominate a local, visit njea.org/cbaward.
To be considered for the 2021 Jim George Collective Bargaining Award, settlements must be ratified by both parties between July 1, 2020 and June 30, 2021.
All nominees will be contacted to submit a ratified memorandum of agreement.
Nominations are due Sept. 10, 2021.
