Physics instructors of high school and honors/university level students are invited to attend the Rutgers University Physics Education Summer Training July 24-Aug. 17. The course focuses on physics content as well as pedagogy including how to incorporate demonstrations and lab work.

The newly revised curriculum in the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) leads to a need for further instruction of high school and high level physics teachers. This program trains teachers to understand the concepts behind the NGSS, enabling them to teach the subject more effectively and better prepare students for AP exams as well as college-level physics.

The cost is $200. Registration ends June 15. For additional informational information, contact Amanda Ackerman at 848-932-6460 or amandaac@sas.rutgers.edu. You may also visit www.physics.rutgers.edu/HSphysics.
