The Supreme Court was designed to be a check on power. If confirmed, Judge Brett Kavanaugh would be a rubber stamp for the agenda of Education Secretary Betsy DeVos and would further swing the court in favor of the wealthy and powerful and negatively impact women, public education, and working families for decades to come.
Americans need a Supreme Court justice who will be a fair-minded constitutionalist who will apply the law fairly and protect the rights of working men and women.
Judge Kavanaugh has a long record of rulings that demonstrate his bias towards corporations and organizations that want to strip protections away from working men and women.
He supports efforts to strip key provisions of the Affordable Care Act that our students and their families rely upon for much-needed access to health care.
In addition, he is pro-voucher and would support efforts to strip public funds away from public education in favor of private, religious, and for-profit “schools.”
Powerful anti-union and anti-public education organizations are bankrolling efforts to support Kavanaugh’s nomination.
We know that New Jersey’s senators are staunch advocates for public education and working families, and we need to thank them for their support. But we also need to be relentless in engaging persuadable Republican senators to oppose Kavanaugh’s nomination.
Thank you for taking the time to contact these senators and making your voice heard on the Kavanaugh nomination.
