Bio Blitz – Students at Hillside Intermediate School in Bridgewater conduct a Bio-Blitz. Fourth and fifth grade students work with scientists to survey the biodiversity of the wildlife habitat in and around the school. Nearly 100 students learn about the effects of sprawl on New Jersey’s open spaces. The students teach others about environmental concerns and potential solutions. This program was funded through an NJEA Frederick L. Hipp Foundation grant.
