Southern Regional High School students place more than 6,600 flags to commemorate American soldiers killed in Iraq and Afghanistan for Memorial Day.

The project, now in its third year, provides students – and the community of Manahawkin – with a clear representation the Memorial Day holiday and gives them an opportunity to honor the sacrifice of those in the armed forces.
