Books, bagels and bingo at the beach!

Beach Haven Education Association members and Beach Haven students participated in a festive weeklong event during Read Across America Week. Thanks to the funding from the Public Education Partnership (PEP) grant, they were able to host a fun and engaging event: Books, Bagels, and Bingo!

The students enjoyed delicious bagels donated by a local bakery while playing bingo for a chance to win books. Guest readers, student readers and local authors from the community were on hand to read aloud to the students.

“It was a fantastic event that brought joy and excitement to all involved,” said BHEA President Jill Falletta. “A huge thank you to NJEA for our PEP grant making this event possible.”

Falletta is also the Ocean County Teacher of the Year for 2024-2025.

Public Education Partnership (PEP) grants share the successes of New Jersey’s public schools while building community support and involvement.
