NJEA President Marie Blistan recognized as force for change

Insider NJ named NJEA President Marie Blistan to its annual Insider 100: Power list.  Ranked the 7th most powerful advocate in New Jersey, the publication noted Blistan’s leadership throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Additionally, Blistan led the 200,000-member educator union to historic legislative victories over the summer when Gov. Murphy signed 2 Job Justice bills and the Chapter 44 law, which replaced the infamous Chapter 78, into law.  Throughout her tenure as president of NJEA, Blistan has inspired thousands of members to engage in union activities. Her presence continues to be felt by the entire profession of public education.
