Bergen County educator Kimberly Weber, from the Harrington Park School District, was awarded a $534 grant to carry out a project that will create a classroom library and school Instagram account to expose students and parents to diverse books that highlight characters of different genders, races, sexual orientations, abilities, and experiences. The goal is to expose the predominately white population in the school to diverse people and to create understanding and eliminate racial discrimination incidents.
