Middlesex County educator Allison Caamano was awarded a $2,680 grant to provide special education students with the opportunity to practice life skills such as ordering food from a restaurant or mall kiosk, how to wait patiently in lines, and how to use self-checkout to purchase food from shopping lists. Students also will participate in therapeutic horseback riding, practice water safety and other life experiences.
