The State of New Jersey has confirmed that all coverages for both active members and non-Medicare retirees enrolled in the New Jersey Educators’ Health Plan (NJEHP) will be in place by December 31, 2020, with zero gaps in coverage. While all members will have the plans they elected become effective on January 1, 2021, it’s possible some may not have their physical ID card in hand prior to that date and are understandably concerned about how to proceed.
